Happy New Year

It is now the beginnings of 2010 so I have a little wrap-up post for 2009 to share.

I managed to read a total of 149 books.

Also for 2010 as a kind of blog challenge for myself I will be changing one thing every month to do with tiny bits and pieces to my blog. This month I have added the source of my books in each of the reviews which helps me with my library book challenge.

I asked you to fill in a short survey on your opinions of my blog and I have taken all comments into consideration and as you can see I have made some changes and you can expect to see more changes throughout the year.

Also, as a personal challenge to myself I am going to challenge myself to try to read every book I get out of the library and work on my tbr pile so it isn't overloaded. I'd love to get through my tbr pile and have one or two books waiting to be read at a time.

New Year Read-A-Thon Milestone Post

Today is the start of the New Years Read-A-Thon hosted by Kristen at Bookworming in the 21st Century and this is the post in which I'll be updating my bits and pieces as I go along. It doesn't start until five but when it reaches five I shall be starting. So when I reach certain milestones I'll come back here and do little updates. 1 Hour - Started reading Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard and am up to page 42.

5 Hours - Still reading Pretty Little Liars but I'm up to 269 and I'm enjoying it so far.

Review: The Girls Guide to Vampires is an interesting non-fiction book. It has a lot of information about vampires. And when I say a lot I mean a lot.

Firstly, anyone reading the book will learn about the history of vampires and how they managed to become the vampires they are today. Which I really liked because I quite often reading about history and myths and legends.

Then there is the books. If you want to find a vampire book that is right for you, there are several lists of vampire books that cater to any kind of vampire fan.

There are also some really cool movie lists too. I don't know if I'd watch every single one of them but I would look at some.

The Girl's Guide to Vampires is definitely a cool book. It's really interesting and I would have to say that you shouldn't take it too seriously because it is a book just for a bit of fun. But I do say that it's worth a read if you're a fan of vampires.

I notice that there is also a Girl's Guide to Werewolves out. I may check that out in the near future.
