Summary: Meghan Chase has never fit in at her small-town high school, and now, on the eve of her 16th birthday, she discovers why. When her half brother is kidnapped, Meghan is drawn into a fantastical world she never imagined--the world of Faery, where anything you see may try to eat you, and Meghan is the daughter of the summer faery king. Now she will journey into the depths of Faery to face an unknown enemy . . . and beg the help of a winter prince who might as soon kill her as let her touch his icy heart. (Taken from Goodreads)
Review: The Iron King is a truly amazing read. I really loved reading it. There were so many really good aspects of the Iron King that I don't know where to start.
The characters were all really great. Meghan at first was a little annoying but she began to grew on me as the book progressed a little more. Then I also loved Grim, he was a great character and I hope to learn more about him as the series goes on. Then there was Ash and Puck. Both very lovable and very different in their own ways. I have to say that it's hard to say who was the better one of the two but I have to say that in the end I liked Ash a tiny bit better.
The story line itself is very unique and incredibly enthralling. I'd been going through a little bit of a reading slump but The Iron King kept me well entertained and made me remember why I love reading so much.
I love the whole concept of The Iron King. I cannot state enough how much I loved this book. If you love books all about fey creatures then you'll love this one which has a very unique spin on the whole idea of fey creatures.
If you have not read The Iron King yet, suggest you do soon because it really is amazing and I cannot wait to read the next book, The Iron Daughter.
