Wind-back review : Harry Potter

It's been a while since I started reading the Harry Potter series. But today I am going to do little 'mini reviews' about each book in the Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling.

Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone

I really liked the first Harry Potter book. I felt that it was a fantastic beginning to a new series. All of the characters were lovable and it was definitely my kind of book.

Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets
I read this one and it was my favourite for a very long time. I've read it quite a number of times because it is such a great book. I think I loved the whole mystery element of the book more than anything.

Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban
I liked this one but it wasn't my all-time favourite. But it was definitely bringing the series up a notch and becoming more and more interesting. After this one I had some theories about what might happen, they were actually quite wrong now.

Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire
A book that is loved by a lot of people but it took me a while to get through the first time because I found it kind of boring. But at the same time there were a lot of really interesting parts.

Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix
Being the biggest book in the series it was the one that took me the longest to read. I thought it wasn't too bad but I didn't love it to death. One of my favourite characters died and a stunning revelation was announced. I think the revelation made me want the ending to be something specific.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
It took a while to arrive but this is by far my all-time favourite Harry Potter book. Most definitely. I think it's because of the whole mystery of who is the Half-Blood Prince? And I just found it to be a really entertaining read.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Unfortunately, the ending I wanted did not happen. I kind of thought the last book in the series was a tad disappointing. Probably because I had already decided how I wanted the ending to be and well, it was quite different to how the book actually ended. I also kind of thought too many people died. But it was an interesting read and it was sad to say goodbye to characters that I had been with for several years.
