Review: I didn't want to read Mockingjay because I knew it would be the last book in the series and I knew I would probably be depressed from reading it. Yet when I saw it at the library I couldn't help myself. In a way I'm glad I read Mockingjay and in a way I'm sad that it has ended.
I first have to say that throughout the entire series I have been totally in love with Gale, and I still am. I just think that in Mockingjay Gale was so amazing and such a great character. And he was Katniss' best friend well before The Hunger Games. If anyone knows me then they know that I am a huge fan of the best friends that are always there for each other and always need each other.
There were two characters that stuck out in my mind throughout Mockingjay. Two characters and they were Gale (of course) and Finnick. They were my favourite in this book and I just really felt for both of them.
The storyline was really good. It didn't take me long at all to read Mockingjay just because I loved seeing how all the events unfolded. Emotionally, throughout the book I was quite neutral until near the end. At the end I was completely heart-broken and my stomach knotted itself up and I cried a little bit. If you've read Mockingjay and the above things, then you'll know why I was so upset.
Overall, The Hunger Games trilogy is definitely worth the read. I missed the action of the actual Hunger Games in Mockingjay but I still loved Mockingjay. I think that it will stay with me for a really long time to come. If you haven't read The Hunger Games yet then you should do so soon. Suzanne Collins did a magnificent job of it.
