If you're anything like me then you'll love looking at different websites that are about books. I love reading book blogs, but I also like to look out for other bookish websites. That is why I have created this feature where on the second Wednesday of every month I'll feature a bookish web that you may like to go to or you may already know about.
This month I have decided to talk about BookMooch. Book Mooch is where you can get books for free from other people and you can send other people your books that you've already read and don't want anymore.
How BookMooch works.
Basically, it's a point system. You send a book to someone and you get points for it. Every time you mooch a book off someone costs you points. There are of course conditions in which for every two books you get, you must send at least one. For more information about the points click here.
Another good thing about BookMooch is that you can choose whether or not you want to send books internationally or not. Basically there are three options as to whether you send to your country only, internationally, or ask me first.
You can also search for books within your own country. As the screen shot below shows. I have searched for books available to mooch in New Zealand.

I find BookMooch to be a really good site. It's easy to maneuver your way around it and I spend hours searching for books that might be there.
While it is easy to find books on BookMooch a lot of popular books only appear randomly. This means that only the quickest or the friends of some of the people can get those books.
You can of course, build up wishlists of the books available on BookMooch.
Also, BookMooch has a really handy help page where you can pretty much find anything you're looking for. The link of which is here.
I'm currently in the process of creating a BookMooch account but as I have a contest going on at the moment most of my moochable books are up for grabs there.
Overall, BookMooch is definitely a bookish web worth checking out.
