    Author: Sara Shepard

Series: Book 1, The Lying Game

First Line: "I woke up in a dungy claw-foot bathtub in an unfamiliar pink-tiled bathroom."

Summary: The worst part of being dead is that there’s nothing left to live for. No more kisses. No more secrets. No more gossip. It’s enough to kill a girl all over again. But I’m about to get something no one else does—an encore performance, thanks to Emma, the long-lost twin sister I never even got to meet.

Now Emma’s desperate to know what happened to me. And the only way to figure it out is to be me—to slip into my old life and piece it all together. But can she laugh at inside jokes with my best friends? Convince my boyfriend she’s the girl he fell in love with? Pretend to be a happy, carefree daughter when she hugs my parents good night? And can she keep up the charade, even after she realizes my murderer is watching her every move? (Taken from Goodreads)

Review: Being a fan of The Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shepard, I jumped at the chance to read The Lying Game and I was not disappointed.  I absolutely loved The Lying Game.  So much that I wish I hadn’t read it quite so soon because now I have to wait for the next book to come out!
Being a huge fan of mystery and suspense books I found The Lying Game to be utterly amazing.  It was so mysterious and suspenseful that I actually sat down and spent the entire day reading the whole book just so I could know what was going to happen next.
The idea of the Lying Game is very intriguing.  I’m curious as to what is going to happen as more secrets to do with the Lying Game are revealed.
As far as characters go, I really like Emma, and I also really like Ethan.  I felt so bad for Emma in so much of the book because really how she gets treated isn’t really fair.
The Lying Game is a great suspenseful mystery and it’s actually quite different to what I had expected.  There’s a twist in the narrative style that I find to be really refreshing and a good thing.  I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.  Sara Shepard has once again written an amazing book that keeps me hanging on even after the last page.
