the immigration doctor gave us a supplement for only the tetanus shot since its a limited time vaccine ,according to him.

It does not look like your future green card processing will be affected by any way due to your one year absence, but you might wanna clarify with your attorney about the status of your H1 though. You didn't mention anything on this, but I'm guessing you'll be coming back to the same employer in 2010, just check with them if your one year not being in US payroll would result in revocation of your H1B and they have to apply for a fresh one once you come back.

Will we run into any problems for GC replacement since we do not have a photocopy of our GCs? We have photocopies of the approval notices. We know our alien number and SRC numbers since they are the same as listed when we apply for 485. We are hoping to get our passport stamped after we get our passports.
We are hoping to show our tax records as additional proof.
Thanks for all your help.

POE officers sometime give hard time while entering. They want documentary proof of urgency why one left country while pending 485 and why outside for longer period. Search some threads here for POE officer's harrasing AP holders.
i will ask my lawyer, to get some insight. Although the mumbo-jumbo he conveys is most time does not provide real answer, other than covering his own backside...
I beleive it should be ok, as long as POE immigration does not ask for pay stubs.

I went to Kanha and Bandhavgarh National parks, the last two times I had been to India. The december season is not the best one for tiger viewing, however; if you give it 2-3 days, you will see some activity.
I will recommend Bandhavgarh. Although not as accessible as Kanha, the forest has best tiger density of all Indian parks and hence improves your chance of sighting. The forest area is much smaller than Kanha, so you will see less of other wildlife, there are no bisons or barasinghas in Bandhavgarh, but you will definitely see tigers. Took 4 game drives, sighted twice, once two tigers were fighting ferociously. Captured it all like on Animal planet.
Kanha: Is a much bigger& beautiful forest, is more easily accessible. I took 3 game drives in 2008, no sightings. You have better chance of sighting other animals such as sloth bears, nilgai, bisons here. Spotting a tiger can be and in any forest will be a matter of chance. Kanha still has a tiger show in the morning in which if they see a tiger they take you by elephant to the tiger. This show is no more in play @ Bandhavgarh.
All of my 7 game drives were a thrill & most memorable experiences. You can take a flight to Jabalpur from Delhi and either forest is a 6 hr drive from there. Watching a tiger in the wild and the thrill to seek it was one of the most memorable moments of my life.
Or you can go to Kajuraho from Delhi by flight and Bandhavgargh is a 6 hr drive.
Have fun in what you do.

Spoke with a lawyer - he said have a letter from my company saying i was training our indian vendor and now returning back to resume work in US. Also have proof/documents that shows my US company exists and a verification letter from them.
My question is (i forgot to ask him) what sort of documents i need from my company which shows the company exists - i dont think my company will give out its Tax Returns. What other documents should i ask for?

I think you have not read my question clearly. I suggest you read it before answering. I have not seen where the USCIS website asks for pending case numbers if we choose second option. I hope someone who has done this online can shed some light on this.

Hello,
My wife is out of the country right now and planning to return in 3 weeks. She left the country with both copies (we only received 2 copies) of AP that is valid until Sept 10th 2009. Unfortunately we don't have a photocopy of the AP document and she has misplaced the two copies she took along with her. How do we approach this situation. The doc's we do have handy are:
1- Original 485 Receipt Notice
2- Original AP filing Receipt Notice
3- Copy of AP approved screen from uscic. gov
4- Original previous AP
5- AP was issued by MSC
Any advice?

I'm curious what it is you are trying to achieve?
Generally, you find zooms are non-linear - the farther towards the "long" end, the more compressed the scale becomes.
If you are wanting to repeated set the zoom to a specific length, I'd suggest a card that has horizontal bars. Draw them at whatever length you determine is a focal-length of interest, so that it fills the entire width of the frame. Do this at some standard distance - such as holding the card at arm's length. Zoom out/in until the desired bar is full-width.
This is hardly accurate if you want precisely "x" mm length, but at least it should allow repeatedly going back to a particular setting, or close to it.

Well another Gandihigiri should be done after witnessing the visa bulletin, along with the the reunion of March 1st, lets send flowers along with a pamplet saying " I want to BUY A HOUSE IN AMERICA"
PAPU waht do you think? Before the meeting in DC, we should send the flowers along with brochures, can someone in IV take that responsibility, we can pitch in the money. On a second thought, since your spouse is filing through ROW, he/she will get his/her greencard faster than you so yeah, you can use your's spouse's I-140 approval and PD to file as a dependent on that application. So please ignore my previous post. I am not aware how I-140 interfiling is done for husband and wife so won't be able to help much on that.

I do not think it is a normal scenario. A lot of my friends work for in the software industry. There are generally no delays in getting a paystub if salary is deposited regularly.
Please ask your employer to be more prompt at providing pay stubs as you need those for everything that requires income proof.

I am planning to go back to my country this summer and try to apply for H-1 visa in US embassy in early June. My question is whether I can apply for H-1 visa using the old one (expire on June 30) while the new one is pending. How long will be my H-1 visa valid (usually 3-month in my country)? Will I get 3-month or till the expirating date(June 30)? Can I come back to US? Many thanks.
Since your current extn application is still pending, your new visa stamp would bear the june30 date, as far as I know. Talk to an attorney.
