tem is sitting at around 46-47 degrees C or 117 degrees F at idle. A bit better than before the MX-2 paste.
One other thing you can do is enable "nap mode". It lets the CPUs enter a low power state when they are idle. It does not hurt performance.
It can be enabled with the Processor prefpane included in CHUD 3.5.2 (http://www.jcsenterprises.com/Japamacs_Page/Odds_and_Ends_files/CHUD_3.5.2.dmg).
Note: on some G4s nap mode is already enabled by default.

Flash works? Flash is crap on every platform, the few on which can run on since it is proprietary, and as far as it makes sense it runs on mac os too so i don't see your point. ok, still waiting on graphics card. Wiring is neater now.
But I'm still having an issue with running video feeds from the internet. The MDD is ethernet wired rather than airport. Its really choppy with maybe 2 or 3 frames per second but perfect sound.
Could this be the video card? I've got 2Gb of ram now so that sorts that end of things. Will the ATi 9700 128mb DDR solve the issue?
Sounds to me like the graphics. I get the same symptoms on my MDD with 32/64MB VRAM and at 128 they went away.

Has anyone any experience of running Xara on Virtual PC ? If so, does it install and run ok, or is it like shovelling treacle?It runs. That's about all that can be said for it.
If you're just doing really basic stuff, it isn't too bad. But once you get in to motion or lighting effects, it bogs down.
I'd imagine it would depend a bit on your system... though, I can't say I've noticed a massive difference in VPC between my Powerbook 1.0 and my PowerMac DP 1.8.
