Review: A short review for a short book. This is the first book by Francesca Lia Block I have read and I enjoyed it. I really like her writing style and while this book is a bunch of short stories I thought that each one was highly entertaining and quite well written.
I am a huge fan of descriptive writing and Francesca Lia Block just has a way with words that is like writing magic onto a page. I really loved the way that she wrote descriptions and just thought it was fantastic.
The one complaint I had about Blood Roses is that there were a couple too many sexual references that I wasn’t so keen on. Other than that I have no complaints.
Blood Roses was an awesome little book that doesn’t take very long at all to read and I highly recommend it. In addition I look forward to reading more from Francesca Lia Block.
