Summary: A sick or injured child can disrupt the best of families. Parents are frequently so focused on the sick child that well siblings may feel abandoned. In spite of the love they feel for their sibling, a well child may be annoyed with all the attention their sick sibling receives. The well child may feel guilty about their anger or annoyance. Conflicting emotions can overwhelm the healthiest child. This book hopes to demonstrate to the healthy child that their feelings are normal, acceptable and guilt is not necessary. The book also hopes to alleviate any of the well child's feelings of alienation and loneliness by reassuring them of their parents love.





Review: I have read all of William G. Bentrim's books to date and they have never been a disappointment because they truly are great.  I can say that What About Me? is really good. It teaches children that their parents do care for them even if sometimes their attention is drawn away to a sick child in the family.





Once again, the illustrations are really neat, I definitely think they're eye catching and young children will definitely like them.





William G. Bentrim has once again created a great story that young children will enjoy and it teaches them a lesson at the same time.

Review: Looking for JJ was an interesting book. I thought it was alright but nothing overly special.



The main thing that kept me reading was what happened to JJ, what caused her to murder someone, and who did she murder. I was also expecting the ending to be something crazy. But no, the ending was a bit sad in some ways but at the same time it made the book a little pointless.



I think the characters I liked were Frankie and Rosie. They seemed pretty cool.



I also felt that part of the book doesn't connect with the other part. The JJ part and the Alice part, to me it just seems like there was something missing between the two.



Overall, I think that Looking For JJ was an entertaining read but it wasn't anything overly special. If you have some spare time and you like suspenseful novels then this book is for you.

Review: The first thing that draws me into this book is the name Hardy Belch. I have never heard of anyone called Hardy Belch before and it is quite a funny, unique and memorable name.
I think that The Adventures of Hardy Belch is a great book that will appeal to young children.
The illustrations are amazing and really cool.
Hardy and Tiny are both really unique and really cool characters. I liked how Tiny always comes up with the ideas.
William G. Bentrim has written a great book that children will definitely find relatable and interesting while learning some valuable lessons.
The story itself is great. The book is split into three different stories and each one has its own lesson and a bit of information about the subject at the end of the stories.
It's really good because it teaches children about tolerance and bullying.
Overall, The Adventures of Hardy Belch is a really good book for children under ten.

Summary: Domestic violence exists. That is a simple disturbing fact. It isn’t something that should be ignored or swept under the rug. It is imperative to face this problem, acknowledge its existence and do our best to aid those who are exposed to it. Children, all too often, are susceptible to accepting responsibility for their parent’s bad behavior. They need to understand that they are not responsible for the violence. This book attempts to explain a very complicated issue to young children.
Review: The topic of Mommy's Black Eye is domestic violence and sometimes a parent doesn't really want to read a book about domestic violence to their child but some do because they want them to know whats out there. Luckily, Mommy's Black Eye is highly suitable for young children and simplifies things down so that young children can get a brief and simple understanding that it's not acceptible for one parent to hurt another one.
The illustrations are really good and children and adults will love them.
I really liked reading Mommy's Black Eye because it was easy to read and simple and I think it would be a really good book to teach children about domestic violence in a simple way.
If any parent is looking for a good book to read to their child about this kind of issue Mommy's Black Eye is definitely a good one, check it out if you're interested.
