Another workday! I'm glad I'm currently working in a workplace that allows me to wear pretty much anything (as long as its decent - and  I can wear a lab coat if I have to) so I'm having a lot of fun (and freedom) with this remix. Today I'm wearing my fav J. Crew tee. It's odd - this brown-orange color goes with everything! But I'm especially liking it with these white pants. Love this outfit!

So guess what! I'm totally adoring my fedora today :) Its kinda hot here....well its going up to 30ish this afternoon, so I was thinking sun protection is the way to go. Pants may be a bad choice. Does anyone else love fedoras? In general I love hats, but I'm particularly loving this fedora - goes with so many outfits and protects me from sunburn. Double points!

Come my lady, come, come my lady. You're my butterfly, sugar, baby. Yep. That juuuuust happened. I quoted from that rando band Crazy Town. I know, very 1999 of me. But for some reason that's what came to mind when I started to type.



On a more relavant note, this red pencil skirt is the BEST. SKIRT. EVER. I got the idea for buying one from Jean from Extra Petite. At first I thought the idea of a red pencil skirt was not really my style. Seriously, I'm loving it - its much more versatile than I thought and goes with everything in my closet. So glad I included it in this challenge. Does anyone else have a red pencil skirt? Is it your best friend?

Had a lot of fun with outfits this past week! And unfortunately after doing some damage at the Mall with my friends Beth and Jenny (holllaaaaa) I'm getting pretty excited for my new finds....ex: the  most amazing white eyelet dress from Le Chateau! Can't wait to break that little baby out. Also, a fabulous RED cotton pencil skirt was found at Jacob. It's glorious!

Butterfly Bling

Something about Spring and Summer just make me think of the cutesy insects that come out to play and the adorable fashion patterns that come from them. Of course, most insects ARE NOT CUTE (and are actually beasts in disguise!) but butterflies are by far my favorites. Oooooooo, it's my first submission to the Everybody, Everywear project. EBEW is run by Linda and Liz who wanted an outlet for fashionable people to share how they interpret and style these basic wardrobe pieces to suit their personal style.
