Hey folkies! Well its time for this week's Lust post for Lululemon, and boy, this one is going to be a doozy! I'm excited to share that the Retro Camo print is being made also in Cool Racerbacks (CRBs) and Flow Y bras. Not sure if I would buy a CRB in that print, but I'm thinking about the Flow Y in black- just depending on what it looks like under another tank. Luluaddict reported that the Retro Camo print is kinda see-through for CRB. Not cool. Check out the CAMO!
Regarding new items added to the website today during Upload Thursday, I was only slightly interested in the Run: Mind Over Matter Sleeveless Tech (due to ruffles being on it - SUCH a sucker for ruffles!) and the Sing, Floss, Travel jacket which is cute. I'd consider getting the Mind over Matter, only because the silverscent fabric is AMAZING! Fabulous for hot yoga or PX90.
I'm really looking forward to the Savasana Wrap in heathered navy with coal contrast! I have to see this one in person, but here's a mini review by Lulumum. Definitely don't need a wrap (actually not sure if I'd wear it either!) but the color is so gorgeous, it's definitely worth trying on.
In other Lulu-related news....is anyone else starting to rethink Lululemon? A lot of crazy things have been going on lately with the clothing line, and frankly, it's starting to bother me. A Lot. First there is the decline in quality issue, when Lululemon began to outsource their manufacturing from Canada to Asia....I know a lot of people are noticing this, especially when you buy a pair of 100$ pants, only to have them pill like NObody's business in a few months. More recently, there was the fiasco at the Lululemon Lab with Nancy, a Lulu Angel who shops for people not in the area and mails them the items as a hobby, was humiliated in the Lab when the Educators refused to let her buy mulitples of items. Lulumum did an excellent post on this story, definitely worth the read. A number of women on the Lululemon Exchange page on facebook were scammed out of thousands of dollars worth of Luluproduct. I'm not certain if this has been cleared up yet, but its absolutely terrible that someone would do that to so many people. Lululemon Lab and Lululemon B&M stores are now enforcing policies on limiting the number of items purchased by select customers (regular customers) by tracking one's purchase history as a way to stop resellers on ebay. Again, Lulumum is all over the story with an informative post - definitely check it out. Finally, as an interesting timbit of information, here's a fantastic post by My Superficial Endeavors evaluating Lululemon's stock - a must-read for the business savvy consumer. Overall, how is everyone feeling about the Lululemon chaos? Is it changing your views on Lulu? Frankly, I'm getting rather fustrated, I wish they'd put someone with some actual marketing experience on this to help get the company's name back and they should definitely have someone re-evaluate their customer service strategies. Does anyone else wonder if all this chaos is going to cause Lulu's stock to take a hit next quarter? The release of 2011's first quarter results are being shared via conference call on June 10 at 9am Eastern time.
